Countdown

In Shopify, a Countdown Timer is used to create urgency and excitement — motivating customers to complete their purchases before time runs out.

Steps to Create a Countdown Metafield in Shopify

1. Go to your Shopify Admin.

2. Click on Settings → Metafields.

3. Select Products

4. Click the Add Definition button.

5. In the Name field, type Countdown.

6. In the Namespace and key, it will automatically generate something like custom.countdown.

7. Under Content type, select Date and time.

8. Click Save.
